Pineapple Barbecue Sauce

A tropical-inspired barbecue sauce with sweet pineapple flavor notes.

Featuring: 8800 Pineapple Juice Concentrate


Ingredients

Water

8800 Aseptic Pineapple Juice

Onion

Molasses

Vinegar, Red Wine

Coconut Oil

Garlic Clove

Salt

Dry Mustard

Chipotle Chili Pepper

Curry Powder

Chili Powder

Cayenne Pepper

Black Pepper

Directions

1.  Measure all ingredients. Mince the onion and garlic. Heat a sauté pan on medium high heat.

2.  Add the coconut oil and heat for approximately 3 minutes.

3.  Add the onion and sauté until fragrant. 4-5 minutes. Add the garlic and all of the spices.  Sauté for an additional 4 minutes.

5.  Deglaze the pan with the red wine vinegar and allow to reduce by half.  3-5 minutes.

6.  Add the 8800 Pineapple Juice Concentrate, molasses, and water.

7.  Allow to cook until a nappe consistency is achieved.

8.  For a smoother sauce, strain to remove the minced garlic and onion pieces.
