What is it?
Bananas are one of the top three tropical fruits in world production next to citrus fruits and pineapples. Grown in tropical regions throughout the world including India, Brazil, China, Ecuador, and the Philippines, fresh bananas are one the most widely produced fruits.
Available year-round, bananas are the number one fresh consumed in the united states.
What is so good about it?
Bananas are 99% fat free and are a great source of essential minerals such as potassium and manganese, vitamins such as vitamin C as well as dietary fiber. They are also exceptionally rich in fructo-oligosaccharides, which are recognized for their prebiotic qualities.
The flesh of Cavendish bananas is soft, sweet and taste very creamy. Flavor and texture are affected by ripening temperature. One medium banana (118g) is an excellent source of Vitamin B6 and a good source of dietary fiber, vitamin C, potassium and manganese. Popular combinations are acai- banana, passion fruit-banana, moraberry-banana, etc.
How to use it?
Banana puree can be used in fruit salads, smoothies, pancakes, quick breads, and pies, sauces, fruit smoothies and juice applications. Owing to its widely acceptable taste and flavor product development opportunities are endless while formulating. Imagine starting your day with an oatmeal with banana or banana walnut pancakes and having fried banana wontons with lunch and banana cupcakes as a decadent dessert in the evening. iTi can supply acidified banana puree, non-acidified banana puree, banana puree with and without seeds, organic banana puree and 70 brix clarified banana concentrate. The banana puree is packed in either 6-gallon bag-in-box- 55 gallon bag in drum or 220 gallon. The products are 100% natural, GMO free, and produced from fresh, ripe, carefully selected fruit. They do not contain any artificial color, flavor, or preservatives. They are all processed in FDA registered facilities which are HACCP and Kosher-certified.
