Inside Sales Representative
iTi Tropicals, the leading supplier of tropical and exotic fruit juice concentrates and purees in North America, seeks a bright, energetic and detail oriented person with 1-3 years of internet or inside sales experience, preferably in the food industry. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task while paying strict attention to detail. The right candidate will have a demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products and be able to manage a large volume of email traffic. This is a full time position located at iTi headquarters in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
- Respond to sales inquiries via phone and email in a timely, professional manner
- Present and explain iTi products and services to customers and assist in meeting their needs through each stage of the sales cycle
- Understand sales call objectives
- Prepare quotations and present approved quotes to customers
- Manage order from initial customer contact through acceptance of order. Responsible for compilation and verification of all data and information required for order booking and fulfillment.
- Conduct appropriate follow-up as needed
- Develop and maintain professional business relationships with established and prospective customers
- Update contact information, set email and notes in CRM for all accounts
- Self-motivated with solid organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effectively plan, organize and prioritize work
- Handle multiple issues simultaneously and effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of Spanish preferred but not required
Education/Experience:

Product Management Administrative Assistant
iTi Tropicals, the leading supplier of tropical and exotic fruit juice concentrates and purees in North America, seeks a bright, energetic, and detail–oriented person with at least two years of product management experience in the commercial food and beverage industry.
This position provides support to the product management groups. In addition to general office duties, job responsibilities include inventory management and procurement support, sales team support, and special projects. Management of routine e-correspondence and fielding of everyday questions pertaining to products and procedures are also required. The candidate will interact with a diverse group of important suppliers and customers as well as contact with all levels of staff within the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize workload. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task while paying strict attention to detail.
- Provide support on all levels to the Project Managers including contract maintenance, inventory costing, allocation and management, handling phone calls and emails from suppliers and customers, and “helping out” wherever possible
- Confirm customer orders, provide order details to Logistics/Trade Services Departments, inform customers of product release and provide the associated, relevant documentation and instructions in a timely accurate manner
- Provide administrative support to the President including organizing technical documents, marketing materials, contracts, and proposals, as requested
- Provide technical food science documentation to sales staff
- Review vendor shipping schedules and provide a markup of the current schedule with special attention to any serious deviations that may impact customer production schedules
- Maintain database for website contacts as related to marketing news blasts.
- 2 years’ experience in a fast–paced office environment, preferably in the food industry

Associate Quality Specialist
iTi Tropicals, the leading supplier of tropical and exotic fruit juice concentrates and purees in North America, seeks a bright, energetic and detail-oriented person to work in our Quality Group. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task while paying strict attention to detail.
The Associate Quality Specialist is responsible for updating, maintaining and tracking critical technical documentation in compliance with applicable FSMA regulations regarding fruit juices, concentrates and purees that are a part of iTi Tropicals product portfolio. This position is also responsible for logging, tracking, reviewing and responding to written customer technical inquiries. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to support of complaints process, continual update and maintenance of quality tracking systems, and support of various verification activities including but not limited to review and approval of food safety documentation, certificates of analysis and laboratory results.
- Update and maintain technical documentation, track changes, and maintain supplier, warehouse and carrier documents year over year in a systematic fashion to facilitate ease of use and identification.
- Log in and track progress on technical requests from customers. Review, assess and respond to written technical requests.
- Maintain and update quality tracking systems for expiration dates of important processor documentation i.e. Kosher, Organic, HACCP, social audits, GFSI audits, etc.
- Support and assist quality verification activities including but not limited to review and approval of food safety documentation, certificates of analysis and lab testing results.
- Support and track the annual quality product specification review.
- Support and assist complaints process as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a Science based field.
- 1-3 years’ experience in related field preferred (quality assurance, safety, regulatory, documentation control, etc.).

Sample Program Coordinator
iTi Tropicals, the leading supplier of tropical and exotic fruit juice concentrates and purees in North America, seeks an bright, energetic and detail-oriented person with a quality or food science background. This position is well suited for a recent college graduate or an individual looking to rejoin the workforce.
The Sample Program Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining sample inventory of tropical fruit juices and purees. He/She/They is also responsible for the integrity of all inbound product samples and managing the outbound distribution of samples to U.S. and international customer locations. A strong technical background is necessary to process sample requests, ensure samples meet all necessary food safety requirements/regulations and conform to the appropriate product specifications. Job responsibilities include: technical analysis of inbound samples, repacking and maintaining sample inventory, managing sample requests, and distribution of samples to our customer base in the food and beverage industry. The right candidate will possess strong organizational skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and staff members.
- Inspect, test and conduct analytical analyses on incoming fruit juice samples
- Monitor and evaluate incoming samples to ensure conformity to product specifications
- Establish and maintain GMP while repacking inbound sample products
- Maintain sample inventory including sample supplies
- Manage the outbound customer sample process including interacting with members of the sales staff, fulfilling customer sample orders using Microsoft Dynamics GP and tracking samples to customer locations.
- 1-2 years of food industry experience, including internships and cooperatives, preferably in a lab environment
- Experience with quality systems within the food industry a plus
- BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or related discipline
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Technical Sales Account Manager

The right candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience in the food/beverage industry, a strong food science background and excellent communication skills. This is a full time position, located at iTi headquarters in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
- Developing customer-based strategic plans for new and existing customers
- Identifying prospective customers and cross-selling across multiple product lines
- Interfacing at all levels of a customer’s organization including R&D, Food Safety, Marketing and Purchasing while developing professional relationships with key decision makers
- Making technical sales presentations that showcase iTi’s product lines
- Attending national and regional trade shows
Gathering and analyzing customer needs and interests and identifying new application opportunities for existing and new products/services.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the food and beverage industry
- B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or related discipline
- Strong, existing relationships with food & beverage manufacturers

Import Operations Manager
iTi Tropicals, the leading supplier of tropical and exotic fruit juice concentrates and purees in North America, seeks an experienced, detail-oriented person to work with a well-established team of professionals to facilitate the import of cargo in a timely and accurate manner. The right candidate will have a well-rounded import/export background, demonstrated ability to lead a team and 7-10 years of international supply chain experience.
The Import Operations Manager is responsible for all functions related to the importation of product from overseas in a timely and professional manner. The individual in this role will report to the Director of Trade Services. They will support the negotiation of ocean freight contracts, and interact with freight forwarders, inbound OTR carriers, third party warehouses and other logistics service providers, as necessary. The Import Operations Manager should be comfortable leading a team and drive improvement with a professional, hands on approach. The ability to effectively problem solve, reason logically and make sound decisions is a must.

- Coordination of import and export containers from and to various ports throughout the world including the strict and thorough tracking of each load from ISF filing to return of empty container
- Sourcing of container drayage providers including rate negotiation, temperature controlled environment (as required) and determination of the most effective route
- Timely follow-up on shipment releases to ensure that all loads are on schedule
- Working with various personnel at public warehouses including temperature-controlled environments
- Lead initiatives to reduce manual operations and implement automated and systemic processes
- Interaction with various ocean freight companies and freight forwarders
- Various administrative tasks such as invoice approval, timely ocean freight payments, and order releases
- BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- 7-10 years of international supply chain experience with a minimum of 5 years management responsibility
